The 80 West Broadway project is more than just a building- it represents a forward-thinking approach to urban living in Boston.
This five-story building development features a mass timber structure while preserving the street-facing facades of an existing brick building. The main structure utilizes Glulam frames and CLT slabs, all supported by concrete foundations. A standout feature is the CLT roof construction, which will not only reduce the overall weight of the structure, but also enhance its energy efficiency.

To ensure both structural integrity and comfort, a detailed Vibration analysis of the floor slabs was conducted. By opting for lightweight timber floors over traditional concrete, we are promoting the use of sustainable materials and making a step toward a greener future for urban living.
