Hybrid Mass Timber Structure
Second place for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade extension.
Acetra supported ZABRISKIE architectural buro with timber structural solution for the competition held in Belgrade, Serbia.
Main structure consists of load bearing CLT walls, slabs and stairs and glue-laminated timber beams. Floor slab is constructed of CLT panels, thickness of 160mm, combined with concrete slab, 120mm thickness.
Based on the preliminary calculation, we can conclude that the structure absorbed more CO2 than emitted, which was one of the goals we had for the structural system.
