The project development of Strand VGS transforms the school into a high-performance, timber-based campus aligned with modern sustainability and educational standards. The design incorporates extensive exposed timber surfaces to improve structural efficiency, natural acoustics, and embodied carbon performance.

The redevelopment will accommodate over 800 students, supported by flexible learning zones, a new cafeteria, a sports hall, and more than 3,500 m² of new workshop facilities for Technology, Industrial Sciences, and ICT. These spaces are engineered for adaptability, allowing future program expansion and equipment integration.

At the center of the layout is a new heart space-a structurally open, interconnected hub that links all departments. Designed to manage large flows of students while maintaining visual openness, it supports daily interaction, comfort, and orientation.
